Should there be a minimum price for alcohol?

Supermarket chain Tesco says it wants to see curbs on the sale of cheap alcohol during this parliament. Do you agree?

Depends on what there max & minimum price's are, if the shop keepers & pubs done there job properly and didn't serve kids we wouldn't be in this mess with underage drinking, this penalise's everyone drink is expensive now anyhow, the trouble is with this country there is just nothing for the kids to do, if there was more I'm sure kids wouldn't turn to the drink

All these various plans they've come up with to solve the underage drinking and binge drinking problem are a complete waste of time. As you say melanie, if they go down the price road, everyone suffers except the youngsters who are doing the binge drinking. In my opinion kids today have too much money available to them so it doesn't matter what price the booze is, they'll find a way to buy it.

Underage drinking is a big problem around here and its very large gangs of youngsters. Getting the drink is simple, as there's always one who can be served in the shops. Price of drink doesn't even come into it.
