| The jet stream is likely to change course soon, ending the UK's spell of miserable weather, forecasters say. The UK is expected to get drier and warmer next week but only after more rain hits an already record summer. This year has seen the wettest April, the wettest June and the wettest April-to-June period on record. The cause has been the unusually southerly location of the jet stream, a high-altitude belt of wind; but it is expected to move northwards soon. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-18868494 fingers crossed | |

| It could be fun if it's still raining when the Olympics start, I hear some of the new stadiums aren't covered, so it could be a tad wet for a few people.. it'd put a bit of a dampner on things eh... | |

| Oooh lucky you! my friend lives in Boca Raton Florida and because of the heat in the summer she comes over here I think she's crazy! but it's the humidity that's draining If I already lived so close to a warmer place I'd move like a shot! | |

| Well that would be just typical for summer to arrive next week when I am back to work. Today isn't too bad though, lots of grey cloud about but at least there is some sunshine and it ain't raining for a change. | |

| I don't miss the blistering cold from back home. Winter in Colorado, the part I live in can be hit or miss for snow and cold. Looks like we may have a green Christmas this year. | |
