You older folks like me will remember her, she had a few big hits, mainly Secret Love, she also sang in the 1965 Eurovision Song Contest with the song I Belong, she came a very credible 2nd. She was set to become Britains answer to Marilyn Monroe, unfortunately for her she started an affair with Bruce Forsythe and of course he was married, her manager took a dim view of this and he stopped taking many bookings for her so she slowly started to fade from the pubic eye. It's sad really because i remember her well and she was a very pretty blonde lady, she had her own television show as well, she was even much admired in the states. I'm sure had things progressed, she would have been huge on both sides of the Atlantic. Such a waste of talent. She died on the 19th May aged 72. R.I.P. Kathy Kirby.
