After all, the average pensioner has paid taxes and contributed to the growth of this country for the last 40 to 60 years.

This is so maddening!! I can't bare to even dwell on it because regardless of what we say or do nothing will change and the UK will always treat it's own as second class citizens for fear of upsetting the others!!!!

it's an absolute disgrace, hubby's got 2yrs to go before he retires but the way things are going he mightn't have a job by the end of the year - were worrying how the hell were going to manage :dunno: it's about time the goverment got their priorities right
