| Comedian Frankie Boyle has been criticised for poking fun at people with Down's syndrome during a live show. When is comedy not funny? | |

| when somebody goes to a frankie boyle show thinking he's a nice guy..that's the problem..these people know what most comedians deal in so why go along to ones they know will be doing things like that..go and watch a nice friendly comedian like peter kay if u get offended easy...if u don't mind then go and watch chris rock | |

| I have to admit that I dont really like some of the things comedians come out with even though it does make me laugh, I cringe and feel mean for laughing at it. But having said that, Im a great believer in trying to find humour in most things (unless its suffering of course) but I think you have to bring humour into your life as much as possible or its a case of wallow in your own gloom and doom. (if that makes sense) Lol | |

| Comedians must have the hardest job in showbusiness nowadays. There's always someone complaining about their material. The PC Brigade have made things really difficult for them. I think we all need to lighten up a bit and view comedy for what it is instead of looking for something offensive in it. As cookie says, if you don't like it don't watch it. Too many people are making a career our of complaining about every bloody thing under the sun. I think we all need a bit of humour in our lives and its a fact that there's humour in every situation if you look for it. One of the more successful comedians from a few years back was Dave Allen and a lot of his material was about religion and death. He wouldn't get away with some of it now but it was funny just the same. | |

| Too true and I loved Dave Allen..Billy Connolly is another..swears like mad and talks about his privates and sex and everyone thinks he's great..when russell brand talks about getting his bits out everyone hates him | |

| I cant stand Russell Brand!! :furious: as you know cookie. maybe the problem is not always what the comedian says, rather than who it is saying it? I used to find Jim Davidson funny but now he seems to be too much up his own Ar******e!!! | |
