Is sex addiction a real illness?

Addiction clinics in the UK have reported a big rise in the number of people seeking sexual behaviour therapy. Should the addiction be treated seriously?

I think they can find an illness for most things nowadays..in the old days it was just being horny..people are looking for an excuse for their sleeping around..

I agree cookie, its an excuse to try and put the blame on something else other than themselves for not being able to be faithful. My first husband used to throw the I should be so lucky he was oversexed at me everytime he went off with another woman or decided he was having sex with me if I wanted it or not

i knew someone like that......a lot of it is low self esteem. they want the attention and to feel wanted so they get it by sleeping around..
