Tesco's New Store Reaches Dead End

Work at a site for a new Tesco store near Glagow was stopped this week when workers found 4 coffins...................

wow dont no what else to say apart from at least it seems its been handled correctly

Makes you wonder what's under your house though............

when they built the tram network here in sheffield they had to stop work as they found lots of coffins under 1 of the main streets in sheffield
everyone was amazes as they and me all thought that it was bad record keeping

The problem with these burial sites is that a lot of them are in the grounds of churches and over the years the buildings fall into disrepair and no-one takes charge of the records which are sometimes stored inside the buildings. I read about this kind of stuff in a book once a long time ago.

Also if you go back far enough, people were buried in plots on their family's land and a lot of those records would go missing. You just never know what's underneath your house.

and it's not as if it's a really old burial too..just thankful that the houses around me now that they are war builds and there were nothing on the land before ..the only thing we dig up is lots of bricks..but that's council building for u
