The body of a man recovered from a Highland loch following a search for a missing kayaker has been identified.
Police in Fort William named the man as Alexander Thorburn, 48, from the Fife area.
His body was recovered Loch Morar, in Lochaber, following the report of a missing kayaker on 29 April.
The missing man had been kayaking on Sunday night, with another man, when they ended up in the water.
The other man swam ashore to an island before managing to raise the alarm in the early hours.
