A FEMALE soldier and a Royal Marine were killed by a rogue Afghan soldier during a patrol, it was reported today.
It is believed the female soldier from 3 Medical Regiment and a Royal Marine from 40 Commando died from gunshot wounds in the Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand.
The two British casualties have not been officially named.
But the woman medic was reported to be 25-year-old L/Cpl Channing Day from County Down in Northern Ireland.
