Ash from Icelandic volcano 'may drift over UK'

Ash from a volcanic eruption in Iceland could begin to drift across the UK towards the end of the week, forecasters have said.

Aviation officials said there was no effect on UK airspace at present, but they were "monitoring the situation closely".

Lets hope it stays that way , After all the trouble it caused to people the last time haven to cancel flights and loosing there holidays and being stranded .

already predicting some parts of uk will be effected tomorrow and more areas by the wk end , this is a bigger eruption than last yr
the first area they are aaying will be aberdeen

I feel sorry for anyone who ends up loosing out on there hols due to this , Hopefully they might be better equipt and prepared now to deal with it this time .
