Blue Monday

It may be Blue Monday - supposedly the most miserable day of the year - but a survey of what really makes people happy promises relief for anyone suffering from a seasonal low.

Christmas debt, bad weather and broken New Year’s resolutions conspire to make January 17 the most miserable day of the year, psychologists have calculated.
But anyone feeling down can take heart from knowing that warm weather and a healthy bank balance are not necessarily the key to feeling good.
ActionAid asked a thousand people what made them feel happiest and the most popular response was helping someone who is in need.
In the nationwide study by the charity that acts to end poverty in developing countries, most of the answers are things that can be done at any time of year and do not cost a penny.
Hearing an unexpected compliment was second on the list, followed by listening to the sound of the sea.

Yep, i'll second that Sheka. It doesn't happen to me very often, but i've been known to feel down in the dumps and after i've visited here, i've perked right up, a visit to this happy place always works wonders for me.
