Decorations

When do you put decorations up and then take them down and do you put up loads?

About the middle of December for me and not a lot, tree with decorations and lights, tinsel among the ornaments and Christmas cards and decorations on the walls. Nothing on the ceiling, we're not so young now.

We have a tree in the lounge and a black fibre optic one in the porch.Lights and balls,tinsel on the walls and table decorations on lots of surfaces.We put ours up mid december and take them down Jan 1st/2nd

Opps sorry Sheka, i forgot to say when we take them down, like you, early January, occasionally they last till 5th but not often.

I put up a tree and a few decorations , I tend to wait till first week of december , Not sure where im going to put tree this year , As last year I had a masacare , My four dogs decided to sabotage the tree and decs there was tinsel an baubles everywhere , I was stilll finding bits of chewed tree and decorations weeks into new year :dunno:

we'll be putting the tree up, with baubles and a couple of table decorations, cards on the walls but thats all, will take them down 2nd january, will have had enough of them by then

Now there is an option , Honestly last year was a nightmare , I had one dog tangled up in tinsel while the other two had an end each dragging her around living room , while the fourth was happy dive bombing the tree .

and of course ladyluck you got all of this on camera? Oh i do hope you did and you post it on here for all of us to see, i know it's not funny ladyluck but the picture i have locked in my mind is hilarious. I bet the dogs had a whale of a time though.

i usually put mine up 2wk in december, fibre opitc tree some things hanging from ceiling and we hang the cards on the wall, our decorations usually come down after xmas ................we never see anyone at the new year, and they start getting on my after a while

will be the 1st of december we'll put up the tree and all the ceiling decorations and a wreath for the door..hubby hates puting them up so for the last couple of years it's been left to me and carrie which she's still excited about even though she's 15 ...and we take them down on boxing day..well I say 'we'..the scrooge hubby takes them down

Sadly not , But rest assure ill have the camera charged an ready this year just incase , When I look back on it now KillieLassie I have to admit im in fits of laughter , Though I wasnt at the time , .

Long to see these pics lady....but hope they don't do it this year.

My hubby moans about all the fuss ,then goes out and buys more decorations.We moved into our bungalow 3 years ago and he has brought 4 sets of outside lights since,so wondering what he will get this year

I put my tree up the first week in December. I'd wait till the second week but the grandchildren won't let me. Not too many other decorations but I do a little christmas display with snow on my long coffee table................well, to be more precise, the kids do it.
