carboots n jumble sales

Do you? I love going to car boot sales looking for bargains...never know what you will find..

i stole this from junes thread on their forum but think its a good topic

i'd love to go to proper boot sale, but all we have here are jumble sales

I bought two water colours about ten years back as I liked em , they are now worth a few bob as the artist was a Brightonion who was a illustrator for kids books!! they cost me £20quid!!! (it was the frames I wanted)

they used to have car boot with the sunday market at ayr racecourse..not been up that way in years though so no idea if they still do that

They have a lot of Sunday car boot sales here. I used to go quite a lot but you have to get there early to pick up any real bargains because nowadays you get all the dealers pouncing on people before they even get to lay the stuff out.
I blame all these Antique shows that are on people know what to look out for now. Lol
I dont think there are so many jumble sales now because of the boot sales, but I could never stand the smell of those places, people would be there rummaging about and I would be standing back glancing over their shoulders Lol So needless to say I always came home empty handed. Lol

I love car boot sales but havent been to one in ages, problem is they always have them on a sunday morning when I'm at church
