What sweets do you remember from when you were young that you don't see these days...

Spangles, my favourites were acid drops..

They are probably still about these days but I loved Black Jacks and also Liquorice Comforts to name but a few Lol

spearmint straps, spangles,oxo flavoured crisps, one shop we used to go into sold home made ice lollies one sook and you were left with a lump of ice

Yep, sherbit dib dabs for me as well, and Gobstoppers, Cinnemon sticks and can you remember cadburies Milk Tray in a chocolate bar, i think you got 8 chocs, i used to love them.

oh yes I reember the cadbury's milk tray bar killie and there was also another one like that..ahh yes, just remembered Lol Fry's Five Centre's? or something like that Lol

frys five boys it was called and was a minty taste there was also a frys five boys which was different fruit flavours

anyone remember liqourice stick?? it was like eating bark off a tree

What did you call the black stick about 4/5 inches long, very very hard, we used to suck them and they did'nt half make your tongue black, tasted like real strong liquorice. I used to love them.

Was it a stick of spanish?
anyone remember the little sticks of spanish that we'd make spanish wine with?..just drop it in a milk bottle full of water and give it a shake

That doesn't ring a bell Diane, Do you remember the penny mix tray, it was like a wonderland to me, all those lovely sweets and you could have 4 for a penny. Fruit gums were another favourite of mine.

lucky tatties with a charm in them...........you can still get them but no charm anymore, hell i wonder how we all survived in those days. sweetie tobacco you still get it but under another name :dunno: woolie's yellow sherbert crystals you ended up with a yellow finger

Yes johno, i remember the Tiffen bar as well. How about the Lucky Bag, i used to love them too.

Don't remember the Tiffin but I do remember the Lion bar...and lucky bag...and frozen jubbly

When I was a kid there was a chocolate covered mint candy called Thin Mints.

I don't know if they're still around but man, they were DEEELICIOUS!
