Avoiding Talking to People

How far are you willing to go to avoid talking to someone? Have you spotted someone in your local supermarket and gone down another aisle to avoid them, not answered your door because you knew who it was, or maybe not answered the telephone?


I have to admit to all of those at some point. The supermarket one because if Im out doing my weekly shop I just want to get it done and get home......Im not out looking for a long chat with anyone to pass the time of day. Lol
I have avoided answering the door to a certain person, but only because I know they only called because they were on the scrounge for something....but that was in the past (thankfully) Also I have to admit that I have caller display on my phone so I have ignored a call if Im busy and know the number and know they have just rung up for chat.. Lol

Seriously, i've never dodged anyone in the supermarket. Where i lived before, we were in an upstairs flat that looked out at the main road into our street, and yes i could see anybody coming to the house from way at the far end of this street, so if it was somebody i did'nt particularly want to see that day, i just pretended to be out. As for the phone one Candy, i never answer the phone, i hate the phone, my hubby always answers. I used to have a mobile when i worked and i only ever used it to text, i used to love texting.

I can honstly say I dont bother ignorning anyone. If I see them and they come to talk to me then I'll talk to them for a short while until I really have to get off and do something else. As for the phone, if I get to it in time I answer it

i even invite the jahovas,switness in they dont seem too bad wen they leave a bit shaken but ok

If I don't want to talk to something and they talk to me, I just blank them and even shove them out of the way when walking past them with a cold look on my face.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not completely anti-social Lol just that some people seem to catch me at the wrong time, either when Im in a hurry or busy with something else, but when its someone thats phoned me I normally call them back later.

I changed all my telephone numbers and moved house just to avoid a person who really peed me off, I have let rip on some forums at idiots who think they know a person just beause they misspell a word; but that is because apparently I am an "Arrogant Sh*t " wonder where they get that from as most people in "RL" get on with me great??

wow delboy, thats pretty drastic to have had to change your phone numbers and move house to avoid someone. But maybe for the best if they peed you off that much. I've let rip at a few idiots myself before now too.

I look out the lounge window before answering the door..get lots of "Do you want your drive done Mrs or new windows" which we have.I do answer the phone but if it's a sales rep then hang up.I'm am a friendly person but can't stand "idiots "either

i think we all have off days, i won't answer the door if i don't know who it is and if a withheld number comes up on the phone i don't answer it.....i check 1571 and phone them back ...................boy i really am weird :shock:

i dont avoid anyone. i speak to whoever speaks to me . and as for assholes well if they dont like me then they can just leave me alone, their choice though i dont think i know many of those??..im pretty straight and direct , if i get a caller sellin stuff or holy holy s i just let em have it straight n most appreciate my honesty .
