| Has anyone ever tried logging oo and got a message saying there had been some unfamiliar attempts to gain access to their account and had to change their password to get in themselves?
I've just had that message and it said that a remote computer in America had been trying to gain access and was it me or not? When I said no I had to change my password to gain access. It did take me to my facebook page and nothing had been changed or added to it so I started wondering if it was some scam to get my password. Just in case I have just changed it again but was wondering if this had happened to anyone else. I have put a message on there asking my friends with my phone number to let me know if anything strange happens on my profile that they know wouldnt be there by me.
I had to change my password to get on there when I got this message so it could have been genuine. | |

| sorry, I cant help you there. I do have a facebook account but only because I joined a private group, but never use it now. I do get friends requests to my email, but just ignore them as they are not people I know anyway. :) | |

| thanks Cas. I had heard that a email was going round to say your password had been changed and to ignore it but this wasnt an email, it was when I actually tried to log onto facebook with my username and password. I've changed my password again since then just to be on the safe side though | |

| Can't say I have had any problem like this either and I have a facebook account that I use on a regular basis. I would say you couldn't really tell if it was a hacker or an actual safety thing but probably best to change your password on a regular basis to be on the safe side. | |

| I've not had problems like that before, but it's always best to change your password often. This is coming from the same who uses the SAME password for everything! | |

| its ok, if they keep adding him and facebook dont do anything I'll be going to the police and making them aware of whats happening. It's not as if he doesnt have a photograph and his age displayed so they know exactly how old he is | |
