| you never know Brain donation is an alternative to other organ donation. Even if the rest of the organs are not usable due to injury or disease, a brain can still be donated. As with any donation, the heart must still be beating when the organ is taken. Donated brains are used for research purposes, and can be extremely beneficial especially if it is known the person suffered from a chronic condition. Alzheimers, all mental illnesses, even high blood pressure patients can benefit from these donations. LOL and you thought I'd have some smart ass remark.  | |
