Are we allowed to talk about football in here?

Suppose that is George Burley definitely lookin for a job now. The poor guy seemed doomed before he even got started! I did not see the game tonight but only one goal in the 82nd minute cannot have been bad. I know they needed to win. I just feel that unless they perform miracles in the first game football managers are deemed useless. I also don't think they have much of a chance of finding home grown talent as all the top teams are full of foreigners. Money, to my mind, has spoiled football.

Scotland played well against Holland but you could plainly see the superior quality of the Dutch. Scotland had many chances to score but you sensed that if they had, Holland would have taken offence and ripped us apart like Brazil did when David Narey had the cheek, Audacity, to score against them in '82.

Funny I was put in mind of that game too just thinkin about it!

Too many times they have had last chances to qualify against the best teams in the world and fought like Lions and definitely punching above their weight but have forgotten that it would have been easier giving their all in previous matches against teams that they have the potential to be superior against.

Very true, gambit, very true indeed! Sad but true!

We will come good again when we realise that we can compete with those so called superior teams. Lose the doubt, free the shackles that are holding us back as the only thing holding us back is our respect and perhaps fear for those teams past reputations.
