i'm so sorry to hear that johno, and i know exactly how you both feel, we went through a similar thing a few years ago with our two dogs Glen and Zack. Both had to be put to sleep eventually. Zack on the 5th Dec 1999 (15 years old) and Glen the following Easter Saturday (16 years old} you just have to come to terms with your reasoning. You will come to the right decision johno, yes you will both be heartbroken but it will be the right decision. Poor wee soul. Let us know what happens johno.

i will killie an thanks you n hummingbird for the concern/
his teeth were bad n i took him to get them fixed. all this trouble came b.cause of the operation.. jesus christ . now i wish i just left him with smelly rotton teeth,but he always had a bad ticker n he is 14 yrs old.

That's the thing johno, we always do what we think is right and whether or not you had left his teeth alone, as you said he has a bad ticker, so no matter what, his ticker is still the problem and you can't blame yourself for doing what was best for the dog.
