How I ended up here. (long)

Since I've been hanging around a lot more, and I feel comfortable enough here, I guess I'll tell everyone exactly how I ended up here.

It's a long story, so bear with me.

Up until about a week ago, I guess you could say I was an internet troll. We-that is-me and a bunch of other people trolled this guy that goes by the name of Chris-chan. Or at least, they trolled and I watched and laughed, (I got stories like you wouldn't believe...) but I digress.

Then about a week ago I started getting to know this guy who was also trolling Chris. We'll call him ray. Ray and I really meshed well. We started talking online via voice chat for hours, and it really felt like we'd known each other for years, because we had a lot of the same interests and stuff.

Long story short I decided to tell my family, or more specifically, my idiotic racist father about Ray, who is Hispanic. WHY did I tell my dad that? i honestly don't know. I guess I hoped honesty was the best policy. That's bullshit, by the way. It ain't.
Anyway, dad flew into a rage, threatened to throw me out, (after a while he calmed down, and by now things are actually mellow around the house.) and the end result of this is that yeah, I still have a home which is pretty damn important, but I can't talk to Ray anymore. But maybe that's not a totally bad thing.

Being that Ray and I ran in the same trolling circle I took it as a sign/opportunity to quit trolling.

I'd been wanting to get out of the trolling thing for a while, but I kept being drawn back into it. I won't lie...it's fun and addicting.

So I quit it cold turkey, both trolling and Ray, and I went crying to BattOldMaid via e-mail. (We knew each other from another forum.) I figured the best thing for me would be a new, smaller, quieter online community, and that's what I've found here. You guys are cool and the whole atmosphere of the place is really cozy and soothing.

I've kind of been wanting to say this for a while, but I only now feel okay enough with everything to talk about it without crying.

So that's how I ended up here. major drama that cost me a guy I liked, my former online community and friends, and my former online hobby.

So right now I'm dealing with a lot of emotional stuff, going cold-turkey on trolling, and just general change and I feel like stuff's been turned upside down.

stick we us girl and you'll be alright, one thing about The Welcome Inn is that we really care about each other, there a really great bunch so chin up it can only get better :)

Thanks. It's been a few days since then, and just the act of telling someone about it helps a lot.

I'll be okay. Just a feeling of general sadness that will have to go away with time.

I also understand the need for a change of scenery. And I've found this is a great group of people in the short time that I've been a member. Know that we are all here for you and for each other.

As you willl know yourself, I became delusional with the other forum we both belonged to, I joined up on the other site and before long WG brought me here. the difference how people interacted and cared was stunning, you didn't need to post so and so times before people took notice, nor did you have to suck up to anyone. They're a funny and witty bunch, with a huge hearts.

It sucks having people who have different opinions than you do, especially if it's a parent, stay true to yourself and all that you believe.

Sounds like it has been a tough time for you, I will say though sometimes in life you have to stand up for what you believe in and take a chance. I hope it all works out for you xx

LadyO just know that we are here for you. It's nice to have a place where people from all over gather together and don't have any hidden agendas or judge you for who or what you believe in. I'm glad you're here. If you need any of us for a shoulder to cry on or to send a dirty joke to, and I'm sure I speak for all the members here when I say, just let us know!! :D
