Q: What is NEMD?
A: NEMD or North East Metal Detecting is the largest online Metal Detecting Community in the North East.
This then progressed to having club digs in historical Northumberland and beautiful Durham, where members have found an array of Roman artefacts and coins right up to present day material.
Q: When did NEMD start?A: It was started on 11th August 2012 by Tim Harding and Colin Scrafton, in response for the growing demand for a North East online presence.
Q: Why start NEMD?A: We decided to start NEMD to allow Family's/Friends & Detectors to come to one place and allow to have a good laugh.
