Four fire engines and several support vehicles are at the scene of an explosion on Dundas Road, Tinsley.
The explosion, at around 9am this morning, has destroyed one mid terraced house and badly damaged two neighbouring properties.
Dundas Road residents have been evacuated and firefighters spent the morning working with other agencies to make the scene safe enough to enable a thorough search of the rubble to begin.
Urban search and rescue teams are now in attendance, plus two search dogs from neighbouring fire services
