A MAN has been arrested by cops investigating the rape

A MAN has been arrested by cops investigating the rape of an 11-year-old girl dragged into a park on her way home from school.

The man, 26, is being quizzed by detectives after being held in Edmonton, North London.

And police are continuing to appeal for witness to the attack.

The girl was attacked in Jubilee Park in Enfield, North London, around 5pm on Friday after getting off a bus.

The girl returned home at around 8pm and was taken to hospital where she needed surgery.

Police were patrolling the area today to reassure residents and schoolchildren.

The girl's attacker has been described as black with afro hair and was wearing a dark grey top and black baggy jeans.

I hate to hear these things happening more and more to small school kids, even when my kids were small i told them always go places in a group,which they never did because my wife or I drove them everywhere.
About this story i just don't know what to say, it happens week after week with little or nothing big happening, it just goes has a life of it's own.

Enfield park rape: Man charged over attack on girl

A man has been charged with the rape of an 11-year-old girl in a park in north London.

The schoolgirl was dragged from Galliard Road into Jubilee Park, Lower Edmonton, Enfield, after getting off a bus from school at about 17:00 GMT on Friday.

Opemipo Jaji, 18, of Osward Place, Enfield, is charged with rape and attempted rape of a girl under 13.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on Monday and bailed for more inquiries
