TEENAGE EastEnders star Joshua Pascoe has been arrested over an alleged sex assault.
Joshua, 16, who plays troubled Ben Mitchell in the soap, was questioned by police and freed on bail.
A Met Police spokesman said: “A 16-year-old boy was arrested on May 24 in connection with an allegation of sexual assault.
"He was taken to Islington Police Station and has since been bailed to return to a North London police station in July pending further inquiries.”
Joshua started on EastEnders in December 2010.
His character, who is gay, clashed with tough dad Phil Mitchell, was abused by Phil’s girlfriend Stella and was kidnapped.
Ben spent time in juvenile detention after attacking teenage rival Jordan with a spanner.
Then he held local shopkeeper Patrick to ransom, pushed Glenda Mitchell down some stairs and tried to frame his father for murder.
As his storyline turned more sinister, Ben killed Heather Trott this year as he searched her house for money.
An EastEnders spokesman said: “We are aware of the allegations.
"Given that there is a police investigation under way, it would not be appropriate to comment at this time
