A HUGE inferno has destroyed Sheffield Ski Village’s main buildings - watch our video report.

Firefighters were called to the centre at Neepsend at about 1am today when the wooden chalet-style accommodation was well-alight.

At the height of the blaze, around 30 fire fighters fought the flames using six fire engines and an aerial ladder.

Nobody was inside the building when the fire broke out.

Efforts to tackle the fire were hampered by the presence of acetylene cylinders which meant a 200 metre cordon had to be set up around the site but no homes are within the affected area.

I agree that isn't good at all, probably vandals. Such a shame to see things like this as they are usually buildings that can have something done to them and be revamped.

the 2nd fire was vandals the first they think is arson
