those good old things

have you got anything you got years ago that have stood the test of time?
i still prefer my old tools, these new things seem to snap and bend,and diane still uses her original sewing machine even though i bought her a modern over locker thingy a couple of yrs back

My Teddy .... Had it since the day i was born.

WG you sound like my other 'arf............he started work as an apprentice in 1954 and he still have one or two of his original tool set. He says they don't make 'em like that any more.

we paid a lot of money at christmas for a full tool kit for ryan,as soon as we tried to change a ball joint on car the bloody spanner snapped,had to dig my old tool set out again

I reckon they must be good because one or two of them have disappeared in recent years (since dad retired) and turned up in my son's tool box. Thieving little git.

mine are all over the place,in both sons cars,can never find anything when i need it
