MY HOLIDAY (IF YOU COULD CALL IT THAT lol)

Well my sister and I had a wonderful first week catching up with the family ,And enjoying the wonderful heat ,
Then disaster struck we had a day in the troodos mountains ,All was well until I felt a sharp nip to my ankle ,I thought nothing of it as there is loads of mosquittos and insects and wee spiders about and we carried on with our day out ,Then I felt a sharp nip to my upper thigh , Again I thought bloody mossies .
About half an hour or less from being bittin I started to fell very odd ,And became very nauseous ,Then I had to sit down as i felt like I would past out .I apparently did (my friend Christadoula informed me later ) They got me back to the car and took me to a private hospital ,When I arrived at the hospital my legs feet arms face had swollen quite badly ,Any way the bites were identified as spider bites ,And low and behold one was still in the turn up of my shorts ,It was identified as a brown recluse spider ,Which I had taken a very bad reaction to ,Not to mention the symtoms the bite itself entails ,
Anyway I spent two days in ICU , Once the vomiting and fever under control I was moved to a private room ,And eventually allowed out of hospital ,My sister stayed with me at all times refusing to leave ,(she pretty stubborn that way )
Marcus flew out from dublin to england ,Then to Cyprus bless him and he flew back the same way so he aint arrived back yet ,.
Anyway ive spent my time out of hospital barely able to walk due to my feet and ankles still being badly swollen ,And im suffering badly from Muscle Myalga ,Which is one of the symtoms of the spider venom .I am currently walking with the aid of crutches due to extreme muscle pain ,Which im told could last at least another month or so . and on medication

Any way other than it being a hard task to get to airport and get last minute flights home luckily the airline was understanding of cercumstances and moved our original flights after a lot of bartering on our part ,Thank god for travel insurrance or id likely be bankrupt by now

Im told the recluse only bites if it is disturbed or feels threatened ,So ill make it my buisness in future not to invade there space .

It was nice to see family and baby Bennicus the new addition and he is a wee sweet heart and such a pleasant baby

just googled the little bugga and he sure can do some damage, not posting pictures of what the wounds are like, far too graphic, I'm now considering of becoming an Arachnophobic

Aww Lady, sounds like you've been through a real ordeal and it's still ongoing. I'm so glad you are home and in your own surroundings, sometimes this makes for a speedier recovery, and i do hope this will be the case for you my friend. You take good care of yourself Lady and as i said, lovely to have you back here again, you have been missed you know.

Gorgeous little buggar aint he , I glad you didnt post pics mate as i cant even bring myself to look at mine ,The gp is sorting them or Marcus my oh does it for me im too squemish tbh, .

I saw those pictures Lady...they were horrid,hope your bite isn't that bad

Unfortunatley Sheka they really are that bad ,Ive one on my upper thigh especially its very bad ,And the one on my ankle is no better ,I just hope they dont scar .
