I'm not easily offended at all ......so long as people are nice to me I'm quite happy! seriously though, I think if you give it out you have to be prepared to take it back!!

But you have to toughen yourself up and learn to take stuff that's said with a pinch of salt. Especially online. At the end of the day its only words on a screen and if you don't like it you just move to another page and don't respond. Well, that's my philosophy anyway, but as I said already, growing up with 5 older sisters and 3 older brothers kinda makes you a bit thick skinned. :D

Yes wg I know what you're saying. I care about people too and it would be nice if everyone I know cared about me but I think that is an unrealistic expectation. We're all different and there are a lot of people in this world who enjoy being horrid and trying to hurt people so when I say toughen up, I mean in order to protect yourself from the nasties in life. It doesn't change who you are. I've been hurt in the past but I taught myself to shrug it off and move on. Its amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it. It doesn't make you a different person, and it doesn't make you a horrible person, it only changes how you react to the a**holes you meet as you go through life. Underneath you are still the same but you don't allow people to hurt you.

Its like when you're at school and some a**hole calls you names. You can either take it to heart and make yourself miserable, fight back (and not everyone can do that, I couldn't) or you ignore them and move on.

well I was only joking about that bit really. We all get hurt from time to time but like mazzie says, you have to learn to get over it. I'm sure I have offended many people but it wasn't always intentional, especially online its difficult to get your point across sometimes and things can easily get taken the wrong way.
I must say that my first impression of you was never one of being the sensitive type so it just goes to show how wrong you can be doesn't it. :)

I'm just strange, sometimes I'll get offended at the slightest thing while other times nothing anyone says gets to me, I just shrug it off. I think as you get older though you tend to care less what other people think of you as long as you are happy with yourself

I'm offended when someone says they hate gay people and other nasty things about gay people.

I also hate it when people say mean things about things you like, like my favorite game is suikoden and if someone said that Suikoden sucked and that anyone that likes it is an idiot and has no taste in games, I would be very much offended. All because you don't like something, doesn't mean you have to be a jerk.. there's a fine line between being a jerk and just not liking something.
