A sneering sex attacker found guilty of a string of brutal rapes has been handed his fifth life sentence – but told he could be back on the streets in little more than four years.
Stephen Crawford - branded a ‘dangerous’ predator ‘who enjoys the act of rape’ - was today given a life sentence for raping a 13-year-old schoolgirl thirty years ago.
He had already been serving four life terms following his conviction in 2007 for a series of sex attacks including raping three women between 2005 and 2006.

i think life should be bloody life, ie till death

Well im for bringing back the death penelty ... Our prisons are already over crowded, and altho they don't have their freedom, the prisoners are very well
looked after and have the xbox and tv's in their cell ... I mean 'come on', it really makes my blood boil ...

This pisses me off big time.......................its high time this country sorted out its system of punishment. We need to make the punishment fit the crime and we need to stop calling these soft sentences 'life'. Ffs what's the point in dishing out a life sentence when its only going to be a few years. The whole thing is a great big joke. No wonder so many people want to come here to live. Easy money from the government and soft prison sentences in soft prisons. Pah!

Life should mean life but not they way it is just now

There should no things like TV xboxes ect and they should be made to work even if it is sawing post bags to earn their keep
and not all that fancy food they get fed
as there is lots of people who can`t afford 3 meals a day or heat their homes

Tie a weight to his bollocks and drop him in the middle of the ocean....and same for the rest of the scum who are a drain on society, in and out of prison year after bloody year...and the judges who are lenient on sex offenders and peadofiles should go with them............

Don't agree with Death Penalty as mistakes cannot be rectified.
Would fully support a shift to the US way of dishing out prison sentences,make them long very long.

to damned right life should mean life ..
the person killed is forever dead.
where it s proved beyond doubt hang the bastards .
why lay it on the poor tax payer to keep them in a likely better life than they were used to.

anyway, nowadays , with modern forensic s there s very little chance of mistakes.

I think life eshould be life. in some parts of the world it is.
